Pretty good day, but very hot. Thank goodness for the big white fans you see in the pic to keep a breeze going. Too bad they can't use these things to make electricity. Dozens of these things dot the landscape. I assume they are there to keep the dairy cows cool so they make more milk. The pic of the crop duster doesn't show how close this guy was to me. I stop several times a day to watch them. Got a better pic of the cornfield hummer, so you can see how big they are. They sit up high and have fairly skinny tires so the don't mash the corn as they go through the corn fields. The other pic is just a wierd house that I saw this morning. Dang thing is all roof. I am at a Super 8 tonight. Too hot to camp and got very little sleep last night. Will get some laundry done so I can stand to eat lunch with myself again. Next three days will determine if I get home on the 31st or Aug. 1. Heat will be a factor, as I can't ride 80 plus miles in this smoothering heat and humidity. Bill and Bill, thanks for the encouragement. Jasmine if you miss me too much, I can always send you a little Math work to do. Kenny, thanks again for the knowledge to keep this bike going. Jordan, thank you for keeping in touch! Kaylain, I am always safe!! :-) Miss you all!

I Hope You Sleep Better Tonight.....Miss You Bunches...Hope To See You Soon.....Good Luck BE SAFE....!!!
ReplyDeleteRandy, it has been so humid here and I've been hoping it was not so hot farther north where you are traveling. I hope you miss the strong band of storms that appear to be close where you are traveling. I pray for your safety daily as I am sure all your family and friends do. See ya soon!
ReplyDeleteRandy,
ReplyDeleteHave you given any thought to what you plan on doing with your bike, trip gear, etc., when you return home? Have you thought about converting one of your rooms in your house into a museum? You could even have PJ bronzed and used as a center piece, (conversational piece) and place it where it will be a permanent and constant reminder of what DEDICATION and COMMITMENT is all about.
I hope the heat isn't too stifling today and your hotel stay was a boost in the arm ( I mean legs ) for you.
Keep on pedaling and keep your eyes on the STEEPLE. ( If you really focus you can see the entire church roof, steeple, and cross!
Have A GREAT Day!

ReplyDeleteI have been concerned for you and praying for your safety. I am glad that you are staying inside during this heat wave. It seems as though you are majorly ahead of schedule.

ReplyDeletethat house is a geodisk dome with a coppula and a federal style door added to it. They are supposedly energy efficient and structurally sound becuase of the triangular patterns. The were first designed by Buck- mister Fuller. He proved that this design does exsist in nature at a subatomic level. Cool- I wish I could have seen that structure. Greg
