Happy 4th of July to everyone! I am spending the night in Sidney, MT and there are no fireworks, nada, nothing. I don,t even see any flags hanging out. I am taking tomorrow off. My body needs a break from 70 mile days and sleeping in a tent. I wanted to take my day off in Wiiliston ND but all the hotels are booked the month of July. On my next ride day I will be in ND. The physical and mental strains have temporarily taken its toll. Many thanks to all of you that send me words of encouragement! Today was kind of a morbid day. I stopped early this morning to take a young cat off the road that had been hit. I also took a picture of this cross. These are everywhere and each represents a highway death at that spot. Some have 5 or 6 crosses in one place. The roads in MT are straight ( and hilly ). I also found out this morning that the average ranch in MT is 10 to 30 sections big. Each section is 640 acres.
