FINALLY a great day. No rain and a tailwind all day!! :-) Morning started with a harrowing ridwe across the bridge into OR with a strong head wind and semis to dodge! Thought if I left at 6 I could beat the trucks but NO! Had a great breakfast and rodew back across the bridge and up the one and a half mile hill to my route! I learned that WA deer are afraid of cell phones. They would stand and stare at me till the phone came out and they bolted! So no pics! Later I was taking a break and an old guy ( about my age ) stopped and asked for directions! Now that was kinda wierd! Arrived at the camp site around 1:30. Rode 61 miles and other than the scrape on my leg from hitting myslef with a pedal, I'm doing fine! There were no eating places today so am eating oatmeal and payday candy bars. FUN! I saw a sign as I got on route this morning that said no gas for 82 miles. Apparently no food or people either. The picture of the road is part of the climb out of the camp this morning! Love ya all! Miss my Toby!
Wish I had not missed your presentation in the gym so I'd know more about your survival strategies... oatmeal was part of the plan, I assume.
